Practice/Class descriptions

Recognizing that every body is different Wholly Yoga provides practices for people at a variety of places in their yoga practice.

WY-I Intro/Level I – Introduction to Yoga

Beginners to yoga, start here to learn basic yoga postures, alignment principles and other yoga basics. This 4-week yoga practice series is an essential and helpful first step for absolute beginners. It will help participants to learn relaxation skills to relieve mental tension, aid concentration and find a sense of well-being. This practice is a great foundation for continuing practice in a Level I – II class.

WY-SF: All Levels/Slow Flow

This all levels practice is suitable for participants at any level of yoga practice. It is accessible for beginners, as well presenting challenge and growth opportunities for advanced practitioners.  This slow flow vinyasa practice can be therapeutic  with a focus on body awareness, alignment, which promotes addressing physiological concerns including joint stability, lower back problems and emphasize shoulder and hip mobility.

WY-II: Advanced beginner/Intermediate- Levels I & II

The Level I / II practice builds on the Intro/Level I series by adding more postures and offering a deeper and more dynamic yoga experience. Through a dynamic flowing yoga practice participants develop the strength, stamina, flexibility and body awareness needed to develop their yoga practice. This practice introduces inversions (like shoulder stand) and arm balances.

WY-K: Kids Yoga

This practice designed especially for children 6-12 years old promotes healthy bodies, mental focus and peaceful spirit through yoga play, fun activities and postures.
